ELEFANT RECORDS

The publication of the fanzine “La Línea Del Arco” (1989) marked the starting point of one of the most prominent and influential independent record labels in Spain, both nationally and internationally. In its early days, creating projects that later became milestones in the history of music in our country, such as the “Noise Pop Tour” in 1992, the first editions of the “Benicàssim International Festival” (FIB), the magazine “Spiral”, or the radio program “Viaje A Los Sueños Polares” (when indie music was played on Los 40 Principales). Today, with the perspective of more than 35 years of activity, Elefant Records has become the home of some of the most important national and international pop bands, such as LA CASA AZUL, THE PRIMITIVES, CAMERA OBSCURA, Soleá Morente, TREMBLING BLUE STARS, FAMILY, LOS FLECHAZOS, NOSOTRÄSH, Carlos Berlanga, THE SCHOOL, BMX BANDITS, THE YEARNING, PAPA TOPO, AXOLOTES MEXICANOS, A GIRL CALLED EDDY, BUBBLE TEA AND CIGARETTES, ALPACASPORTS, INTERROGACIÓN AMOR, FITNESS FOREVER, LIGHTNING IN A TWILIGHT HOUR, LISASINSON, PIPIOLAS, SUNLIT and many, many more.

And all this has meant that today it is a reference label worldwide within the independent scene. Along the way, hundreds of releases for music lovers, iconic and historic albums, and a treasure trove of records that every serious collector cherishes.

But beyond these impressive achievements, what makes Elefant Records a unique and special label is its philosophy of work, its tireless activity, its carefully nurtured and recognizable identity, and, above all, its undeniable passion as profound lovers of pop and music in general.
